Do you ever have an idea you just can't get out of your head?
I had been dreaming up this Editorial Beauty Project for what feels like years. Soft, elegant, romantic beauty portraits but with a touch of moodiness & drama.
Sometime this past spring, Kathryn & I met for coffee to chat and catch up before heading into this years' busy wedding season. I was elated to hear all about Kathryn's new found passion for photography and wanted to support her new business in any small way I could. I was excited to participate in a few bridal styled shoots with Kathryn, and after swooning over her latest works, I knew she'd bring my vision to life.
When I got home that evening, I started planning. I headed to pinterest, instagram, art magazines, trying to piece together poses and ideas that had previously only existed in my brain. I created a mood board, posted a model call and reached out to Theresa in the hopes of incorporating her beautiful jewelry and accessories. We turned my little beauty studio into a full blown photography set. Not pictured: all of the furniture moved around to accommodate lighting, backdrops, the whole nine! Everyone came together to produce these magical portraits and they are beyond my wildest dreams. We really created something beautiful!
